Exchange Rate Definitions Dictionary
The arithmetic mean of official daily middle rates recorded throughout a calendar year by CBSL. Used for long-term trend analysis.
The official closing middle rate on the final business day of December. Reflected in national external debt balance sheets.
Foreign Exchange Entitlement Certificates where essential goods used the official rate while non-essential goods paid a premium rate (~Rs. 8.60/USD).
The weighted average spot exchange rate computed from commercial bank interbank transactions in Colombo.
